Electric Power Steering (EPS) is most common to support effortless steering wheel operation today. It has replaced Hydraulic Power Steering (HPS) due to simpler system configuration and improved fuel efficiency. The C-EPS motor is located at the steering column inside the cabin and therefore requires compact package. C-EPS systems are mainly applied in small and medium sized vehicles.
